My Diet

A couple of people have asked what my nutritional plan looks like, specifically, so here you go. These are the guidelines of what I cannot have and what I must have. Everything in between is ok (i.e. meats, etc.). Thoughts?

The Heirarchy of What to Eat:
Organic Fresh
Organic Frozen
Organic Canned
Fresh
Frozen
Canned
**Avoid ALL canned fruit with added sugar**

The Rules:

  • Read the ingredient list, not the nutritional label of your food.
  • No food after 7:30pm- water and herbal teas are allowed.
  • No tap water- or if you must, boile it for two minutes. Filtered water is ok.
  • No packaged foods (hamberger helper, frozen pizza, etc.)
  • No white flour (bleached)
  • Limit dairy as much as possible- white cheeses and cage-free eggs are fine.
  • No artificial anything (color, preservatives, additives)
  • No sugar packets- Stevia, Sugar in the Raw, or Evaporated Cane Juice are fine.
  • No hydrogenated or fractionated veggie oils/trans fats
  • No high fructose corn syrup or asperatame
  • No cokes
  • No margarine- preferably only Earth Balance Vegan Spread
  • No fried anything
  • At least 100 oz of water per day, adding juice from 1 lemon to every 16-24 oz of water.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar- raw and unfiltered- 1 TBS before each meal
  • Coffee is ok- use regular milk or organic Half-N-Half- No powdered creamer.
  • Canola-based Mayo only
  • Any and all fruits are ok- They’re nature’s candy!
  • Eat breakfast EVERY day.
  • Greek-style or Vanilla yogurt 8 oz per day- regular, full fat.
  • Natural peanut butter- 1 TBS per day.
  • Blue corn chips & salsa are ok for snacks
  • Tuna sandwiches are fine
  • At least 1 BIG salad per day- dark green lettuce/spinach, tomatoes, sprouts, artichoke hearts, red bell pepper, purple onion, any veggie, beans– EVERY DAY.
  • Use Oil & Vinegar for dressing.
  • Honey- local honey only, 1 tsp per day.
